On Saturday 23rd June, Kirkwood Hospice will be hosting one of their biggest fundraising events of the year: The Midnight Memory Walk
Kirkwood Hospice are about to hold their biggest event of the year. The Midnight Memory Walk will see over 1,000 people walk a 6 or 10-mile course through the night. Pulse Radio will be presenting live performances and entertainment starting from 9:30 pm before the walk commences.
The idea behind the event is that people can walk in memory of a loved one, but you may want to take part to get fit or to raise vital funds for your local hospice. Whatever your reason for taking part, you’ll be surrounded by a load of friendly faces while helping to raise money to give people with life-shortening illnesses a better quality of life.
We’ve put together a quick Q&A to give you more information about the walk!
How Are We Helping?
We are donating £5 from every pair of Black Floral and Reflective Leggings that are purchased in the time running up to the event.
Not only will this help increase the amount raised for the event, but it also gives people the to look super stylish while taking part in the walk. We especially think the reflective ones will look great on the night walk!
Why Should I Take Part?
Kirkwood Hospice relay on fundraising events so that they can provide specialist care to people in Kirklees, free of charge. Without these fundraising events, Kirkwood would not be able to do this.
By taking part in the event you can have fun with friends and family while knowing you are supporting a vital charity in Kirklees.
